As a owner of hyresrätt (apartment) or bostadsrätt (co-operative apartment) you can be charged for overcharging rent/ taking excessive rent. The difference between a hyresrätt and bostadsrätt is that you can be forced to repay the excessive rent for hyresrätt but not for bostadsrätt.
